The health promotion, health education and disease surveillance division of the Middletown City Health Department provides health information and education to all citizens of Middletown. Some of the services are:
This Division includes a Director of Nursing, a Bureau for Children with Medical Handicap (BCMH) Nurse, an Immunization Nurse, a Health Programs Administrator, Community Care Administrator, a Lead Community Care Coordinator and two Community Care Coordinators. This Division has a strong focus on the public health motto-- "promote, protect and prevent." The development, implementation and evaluation of these health activities enable the department to reduce health risks to the citizens in Middletown.
